NCPR, April 13, 2017—Coming soon: Lifetime premieres two films about Joyce Mitchell, 2015 prison break: In addition to those upcoming films, the Dannemora escape has already inspired at least three books, including one from the Plattsburgh Press-Republican, another by a writer in Brooklyn, and a third by North Country historian Lawrence Gooley. Gooley said "Escape from Dannemora" was his fastest selling book by far.
