Sun Community News, August 3, 2012—Authors debut new books at Hudson River Trading Co. August 4: Bloated Toe Publishing of Peru, N.Y., recently released two new books by award-winning author Lawrence Gooley. 25 Diabolical Adirondack Murders: The Twisted, Fiendish Deeds of North Country Killers covers the complete story of notable homicides committed across the region. Included are multiple crimes involving 33 victims across nine northern counties.

Sun Community News, July 25, 2012—Hudson River Trading Co. to host author, music event Aug. 4: More than 20 award-winning authors (including Lawrence Gooley, author of Terror in the Adirondacks and author/publisher of many more books on local history) and artists from all over the Adirondacks and northern New York region will sign their books and CDs under the tents in front of the store.
2012 Artists / Authors / Adirondacks Event (Day 1)
A two-day celebration of the arts and crafts of the Adirondacks. Day 1 features authors including Lawrence P. Gooley, Dr. Richard B. Frost, and Kathleen Larkin.
First Annual Chateaugay Arts & Film Festival (Day 2)
At Day 2 of the Festival, authors Jack Bilow and Lawrence P. Gooley will be on site to discuss their books. Lawrence P. Gooley is known for Lyon Mountain: The Tragedy of a Mining Town (2004) and Oliver’s War: An Adirondack Rebel Battles the Rockefeller Fortune (2007). Art pieces by local artists will be on display for purchase throughout the town hall.
2012 Lyon Mountain Museum Opening
Join the Friends for the Season Opening of the Mining and Railroad Museum! In addition to the many mining and railroad displays, author Lawrence P. Gooley will be available to sign and sell his many books.
Schuyler Falls Heritage Day
Join local authors Lawrence P. Gooley, Dr. Richard B. Frost, and Gordie Little to celebrate Schuyler Falls history. The authors will have their books available for sale, and there will be photos, exhibits, and presentations related to Schuyler Falls history.
Presentation: Tracking Robert Garrow (Cabin Fever Sundays)
Award-winning author Lawrence P. Gooley will present “Tracking Robert Garrow, ” a PowerPoint presentation based on Gooley’s book, Terror in the Adirondacks: The True Story of Serial Killer Robert F. Garrow.
2012 Mooers Free Library Benefit Day
The Friends of Mooers Free Library will host a meet-and-greet local authors’ program. Local authors attending include: Diane Chase, Gordie Little, Lawrence Gooley, Kathy Baumgarten, Dr. Richard Frost, Jan Stanley, Anastasia Pratt, Joe Burke, and others.
