Gooley. The book is an account of the 1914 Gianini murder case, when 16-year-old Jean Gianini was charged with the murder of his school teacher Lida Beecher in the village of Poland.

Sun Community News, October 29, 2013—Local author’s murder story to air on Halloween: Lawrence P. Gooley, Adirondack historian and true-crime author from the Plattsburgh area, will appear on the Investigation Discovery channel at midnight Halloween in a special titled “Bloody Marys.” The Mary Farmer story is based on a chapter of his recent book, 25 Diabolical Adirondack Murders: The Twisted, Fiendish Deeds of Adirondack Killers.

Sneak peek of the upcoming Halloween special that will air on Discovery ID (aka Investigation Discovery). Author Lawrence P. Gooley provides voice-over and on-screen narration for the Mary Farmer segment. Mary Farmer lived in Brownville (near Watertown), New York, and murdered her neighbor. The Farmer story is one of the murders chronicled in Gooley’s book, 25 Diabolical Adirondack Murders: The Twisted, Fiendish Deeds of Adirondack Killers.
